Due to demand, a new date at London's Wembley Arena has been added to the 2012 Jesus Christ Superstar UK and Ireland arena tour. Jesus Christ Superstar Tickets for the new London date are on sale from 9am on Friday 27th August. Pre-sale tickets are on sale now.
Ben Forster will play the role of Jesus in the UK’s first ever arena tour of Jesus Christ Superstar, having won the part in the recent ITV reality-show 'Superstar'. Ben stars alongside Tim Minchin in the role of ‘Judas Iscariot’, former Spice Girl Melanie C in the only female lead as ‘Mary Magdalene’ and BBC Radio 1’s Breakfast Show host Chris Moyles as ‘King Herod’.
For the first time in the history of musical theatre, 60,000 people will see Andrew Lloyd Webber’s legendary rock classic Jesus Christ Superstar Jesus Christ Superstar in its opening week. The arena tour, which visits some of the country's biggest arenas in September and October, has already sold in excess of 100,000 tickets and generated advance box office sales of over £5 million.
