Following their triumphant performances at last weekend’s Reading and Leeds Festivals, The Courteeners have announced details of a huge homecoming show at the 15,000 capacity Manchester Evening News Arena. Taking place on Friday 7th December, the performance promises a selection of new tracks from the band’s forthcoming studio album due for release in January 2013, alongside classics from ‘St Jude’ and ‘Falcon’.
Returning to Manchester for a Christmas bash has been a fixture in the band's calendar since 2009, and has seen them perform to over 35,000 fans over the years. Singer songwriter Liam Fray is clearly excited about the bands return in 2012.
"We are delighted to be coming back to the city. The Manchester Arena holds amazing memories for us and we cannot wait to create a whole host of new ones on what will be a very special night. Come join the party for the beginning of our most exciting chapter yet. See you down the front."
