Superstar Robbie Williams has today unveiled details of his anticipated ninth studio album 'Take The Crown'.

ImageThe forthcoming new album, his first for Island/Universal, will be released on Monday 5th November. Recorded in LA alongside producer Jacknife Lee, the album includes tracks 'Be A Boy', 'Shit On The Radio', 'All That I Want and Losers (featuring Lissie)' and also features orchestrated parts that were recorded at the legendary Capitol Studios also in LA.

Robbie Williams commented on the decision to make a new album: “After the Take That reunion – a busman’s holiday, a break from my career which re-energised me in many, many ways – I wanted to come back with a massive solo album. My main priority was to write what I consider, and hopefully what the world would consider, to be hits. I’m very excited”.

The album's lead single will be a track titled 'Candy', which was co-written by Gary Barlow. The track is set for release on Monday 29th October. Robbie says of the song: “It’s a summer song, about a girl who thinks she’s great. And she might be, but she’s a bit nefarious with her ways. Some songs take an age to write and some songs just fall out of your mouth completely formed, and you don’t have to think about it. I don’t know why that fell out of my mouth and out of my brain at that particular time – it just did”.

Take The Crown' tracklisting is as follows:

Be A Boy
Gospel
Candy
Different
Shit On The Radio
All That I Want
Hunting For You
Into The Silence
Hey Wow Yeah Yeah
Not Like The Others
Losers (featuring Lissie)

With more than 60 million album sales to date, Robbie Williams' solo career has earned the star 17 Brit awards - more than any other artist in history. He reunited with his Take That bandmates in 2010 and hit the road for a record-breaking tour together supporting their multi-platinum album 'Progress'.

'Take The Crown' will be Robbie's first new record since 2009's 'Reality Killed The Video Star'.

In addition, Robbie has revealed plans for an intimate UK tour next month, announcing four shows for the UK and Ireland.
