Starship Guitarist Mark Abrahamian Dies Aged 46

Mark Abrahamian, lead guitarist of Californian rockers Starship, sadly passed away on Monday night, after suffering a heart attack after a gig in Nebraska.

Aged just 46, the band are mourning the loss of the talented musician, who joined the band back in 2001. Abrahamian reportedly returned to his dressing room after the gig, and collapsed after suffering from a heart attack. He was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at hospital.

The band wrote via Twitter:


They also wrote a message via their Facebook page, saying: “We are all shocked and saddened at the sudden loss of our guitar player Mark Abrahamian. Mark was a kind, thoughtful and innovative soul. He was also a friend and family member. Mark also happened to be one hell of a guitar player. We are devastated by the loss of our brother and just dealing with it the best we can.”
