Fiona Apple Spends Night In Texas Jail After Being Caught In Weed Arrest Hotspot

American pop-rock singer-songwriter Fiona Apple was forced to spend a night in a Texan jail on Wednesday, after police found a small quantity of hashish on their tour bus.
The star is currently touring the US in support of her latest album ‘The Idler Wheel’, but rather than spending Wednesday night on the bus, she was left to sleep in a cell in Hudspeth County, Texas.
Interestingly, Hudspeth County is also the spot where a whole range of celebrities have found themselves locked up over cannabis - the likes of original ganjaman Snoop Dogg, country singer Willie Nelson, and Social Network star Armie Hammer were arrested for possession in recent times.
While most people don’t really consider cannabis a harmful or dangerous substance anymore, the Texas-based town seems to have a vendetta on it’s users - a local judge says they’re briefly locked up ‘because they come through here with stuff they shouldn't have.’
They obviously don’t share the relaxed attitude the rest of the modern world has, and slapped her with a settling bond of $10,000 for the charge. The money shouldn’t be too much of a problem though - her new album is selling well and has received much critical acclaim.
