Capital Cities Stream 'Kangaroo Court' EP - Listen Now

Californian pop group Capital Cities have put their brand new ‘Kangaroo Court’ EP up as a free stream for fans to listen to before they buy - check below to hear.

Capital Cities songwriting duo Ryan Merchant and Sebu Simonian do not have a typical backstory. Formed when Ryan answered a Craigslist ad posted by a producer/writer seeking Sebu, Capital Cities have since gone on to become one of the fastest rising bands around.

The duo have taken their eclectic brand of electro-rock across the world, culminating in a world tour with a rip-roaring gig at Monto Water Rats last Tuesday. They are receiving radio play across the US and extensively in Germany, with their stand out track ‘Safe & Sound’ receiving an astounding 680,000 views on YouTube already.

Arguably the most exciting currently unsigned band around, Capital Cities are on the cusp of something really quite special. It is not just ‘Safe & Sound’ either; ‘Kangaroo Court’ already boasts over 130k listens on Soundcloud. The duo are captivating people with a brand of music that has been compared to the MGMT that we fell in love with while remaining distinctly innovative. The dual vocals and intelligently crafted arrangements create songs that straddle the line of genre.

This week, the band are offering their ‘Kangaroo Court’ EP up for streaming. Featuring ‘Kangaroo Court’, ‘New Town Crie’ and remixes by Shook and Napolean, this is an effort that will have you spinning off of your office chair. Boasting an unmatched handle on electro-rock sensibilities, Capital Cities are not a band to miss out on - check out the EP below!
