American singer-songwriter and rapper Frank Ocean, one of the most popular members of hip-hop collective OFWGKTA, has confessed that he’d like to take a break from music in order to write a novel or start a car club.
Writing via his Tumblr page, Ocean told his fans that he would love to try his hand at something other than music - and writing a ‘novel about twins’ is on top of his to-do-list.
“I wanna write a novel about twins, some type of nature versus nurture tale. I've said that to a neighbour before. It's an open ended idea. I want to start a car club. I'm playing with two names for it. I sketched a logo for it. It's not there yet. I was going to build an arcade, the more I lived with that idea... the less it stuck.”
This doesn’t mean that there won’t be any new music from Ocean - he was recently snapped in the studio with Jay-Z and Pharrell Williams.
“I sat in the studio days ago with Jiggaman and Pharrell. Pharrell looks 19. They seemed like old friends. I wonder how many trophies are logged in their mind. I wonder why they still build. I build things for the sport and the therapeutic benefits. For immortality biiiitch.”
