Britain's Got Talent Finalists The Mend Announce Release Of Debut Single 'Where Were You'

Teenage girls of the UK, prepare yourselves... The Mend are back. Having already won the hearts of the public as finalists on Britain's Got Talent last year, the foursome from Manchester announce the release of their debut single, ‘Where Were You’ on 24th March.

Since the show, The Mend have been working in the studio with Grammy and Ivor Novello award winning songwriter/producer, Eliot Kennedy and writing with Emeli Sandé and Naughty Boy for the release of their debut album out later this year.

Since turning down a singles deal with Sony after Britain’s Got Talent, the boys decided to set-up a label of their own and do things on their own terms. ‘Where Were You’ which was written by the band, will be released on The Mends’ label, ‘Smith’s’.

Discovered by former Take That manager Nigel Martin-Smith in 2008, The Mend, made up of lead singer Craig Worsley, Jay Kontzle, Dean Kelly and Kris Evans are no stage school pretty boys, each has experienced life at its toughest and wants to inspire today’s youngsters by telling it how it is.

The guys have also recently caught the attention of 2011 X Factor champions, Little Mix who have asked the band to join them on their first ever national tour which starts tomorrow, Friday 25th January, in Rhyl.
