Pusha T Confirms GOOD Music Collaboration 'Cruel Winter' Has Been Scrapped

American hip-hop star Pusha T has confirmed that a potential follow-up to Kanye West and GOOD Music’s collaborative effort ‘Cruel Summer’ has been scrapped.

Dubbed ‘Cruel Winter’, the record was set to be the second installment in collaborations from GOOD Music, which boasts artists such as Big Sean, Kid Cudi, Mos Def, and of course Pusha T in its ranks. But now, the album has been scrapped, despite a number of artists recording tracks or bits for it.

“I believe that there were intentions for a 'Cruel Winter' and there's so much music floating, but GOOD Music isn't one to just piece a project together,” Pusha T told MTV News. “I can tell you right now, I probably have 15 verses that are just over beats, that are lying around wherever 'Ye and his hard drive is right now, and I'm sure Cyhi, Sean, Cudi, Tip, everybody has other production or verses on these records as well.”

GOOD Music affiliate Common had also previously suggested that the album had been scrapped, perhaps in favour of the individual artists working on their own solo albums. He said: “Oh, yeah, nah, nah. I don't think that's happening. It was more of a rumour - cats been creating, but everybody’s been doing their solo album. So that's what that is.”
