It has just been announced that Justin Timberlake will be performing at this month’s BRIT award-ceremony
The awards, the British equivalent of the Grammy awards, take place on February 20th at the O2 Arena, and will be hosted by James Corden once again. Last year, there were epic performances from superstar Adele and Britpop legends Blur - now, we’ll get to see Timberlake making a long-awaited comeback to music with new album ‘The 20/20 Experience’.
We reported earlier that the megastar was likely to be performing, and the BRIT’s company themselves have now confirmed the news. They tweeted minutes ago:
We're SO pleased to announce @jtimberlake's return to the BRITs! He's the newest addition to the #BRITs2013 performers! ow.ly/hkKZX
Timberlake last performed at the ceremony in 2004, picking up the awards for Best International Album and Best International Male and performing a now-legendary duet with Kylie Minogue. Now, he will return this month for a UK TV exclusive performance that will see him performing songs new and old in front of an extremely lucky audience. If you’d like to be part of that audience, check the link below and find tickets through Stereoboard!
The BRIT Award organisers are more than happy to have secured such a superstar, and BRITs Chairman David Joseph has said: “Justin is an exceptional artist with global appeal and unrivalled successes. We are thrilled to add him to a stellar line-up that will celebrate an amazing year of music and make this one of the strongest BRIT live shows to date.”
Already performing are the likes of Robbie Williams, Muse, Ben Howard, One Direction, Mumford & Sons and Emeli Sandé, and there are promises that even more names will be added to the bill.
