No More Snoop Lion After Release Of 'Reincarnation'?

When the world heard that Snoop Dogg had converted to the Rasta movement, and that he’d be changing his name to Snoop Lion and making reggae, some were ecstatic, some were unhappy, and some were thinking ‘so he finally smoked that much weed’. But now, before his Rasta record ‘Reincarnation’ has even hit shelves, it looks like he’ll be moving on to a new style for his next move - or will at least return to the D O double G moniker we all know and love.

The gangsta-rapper claimed to be ‘born again’ back when he announced his Rasta conversion in 2012, but the second coming seems to have fizzled out, and ahead of the release of ‘Reincarnation’ on April 23rd, Snoop has told NME that his next album probably won’t be on a reggae tip.

“I definitely feel like I’m gonna make more music but I don’t know if I’m gonna go to Jamaica, I may wanna go somewhere else,” he told the site. “I may wanna venture into another part of the world. Some things you let them be what they are. That was a priceless moment. I may wanna do something different next time.”

He continued: “I’m just saying I don’t know if I want to repeat the same process as far as going to Jamaica and making a reggae album. I may wanna go to another country and make a reggae album. I may wanna make a rap album. I don’t know.”
