Richie Sambora Pulls Out Of Bon Jovi World Tour - Citing 'Personal Reasons'

Richie Sambora, the guitarist of iconic rockers Bon Jovi, has pulled out of the band’s current world tour, citing ‘personal reasons’ for the decision.
The axe-man failed to reach the stage at a gig in Calgary, Canada last night, and has now pulled out of the tour altogether - though it’s believed he may still make it to the UK leg of their trip. Though only ‘personal reasons’ has been given as the explanation why, it’s known that Sambora has battled with substance abuse issues in the past, though its unclear as to whether this has anything to do with his decision to pull out.
Fortunately for fans, the tour will go ahead as scheduled, and though they won’t be witnessing Sambora on guitar, Jon Bon Jovi and co. will still put on a hell of a show at every gig they play. You can find tickets to any of Bon Jovi’s UK tour dates below.
The news was broken via a post on the band’s website, which read: “Due to personal issues, Richie Sambora will not be performing on this upcoming leg. All shows will go on as scheduled.”
The Daily Mail reports that frontman Jon Bon Jovi told the crowd at their Canadian gig last night: ”I had two choices – pack up and go home or give you everything I got. Richie Sambora won't be performing for a while. If there's ever a night I need you, it's tonight, Calgary!”
Their tour continues in Edmonton tonight, and continues across the US before hitting South Africa and Europe in May. They then hit the UK in June.
