Todd Edwards Claims New Daft Punk Tracks Are 'Future Classics'

House and garage star Todd Edwards has claimed that Daft Punk’s new album 'Random Access Memories' is full of ‘future classics’, ahead of the release of the French duo’s new record.

Edwards, who’s collaborated with the superstars on the hugely-anticipated new album, thinks highly of the record, and also gave away some of the ideas the pair had when creating the record - saying that they ‘wanted to go back to the time of Fleetwood Mac and the Doobie Brothers’.

Speaking to Vice, Edwards said: “They were saying (they wanted to go) back to the time of Fleetwood Mac, the Doobie Brothers, picking up the West Coast vibes.”

He continued to say later: “We would drive down from Thomas (Bangalter's) house with the top down. The weather was gorgeous. It sounds like something in a movie.”

Edwards also added that the album’s tracks were ‘future classics’, and said: “They reversed gears and went back to a time that no one's really focused on. They're fulfilling their vision on all levels.”

You can check out the interview below.

‘Random Access Memories’ is set for a May 20th release, and is expected to be followed by touring across the globe. Stick with Stereoboard to find out if Daft Punk are performing near you any time soon.
