Australian indie-rockers Atlas Genius have announced a one-off London gig, following the release of their debut album ‘When It Was Now’.
Australia's Atlas Genius are Adelaide brothers Keith and Michael Jeffery. Having originally operated as a covers band to fund the building of a home studio, the duo formed Atlas Genius and began writing their own material. The first tune they finished was ‘Trojans’, originally uploaded to national radio station Triple J’s Unsigned website. It was picked up by US blog Neon Gold, and the brothers Jeffery were caught in the eye of a storm. The track became an instant hit across US radio stations and the band signed to Warner Bros Records following a slew of offers.
Having toured the US persistently for the best part of twelve months to sell-out audiences and upgraded venues, their debut album entered the Billboard Chart’s Top 40, and went Top 10 in the US Digital Charts.
Atlas Genius now make their eagerly anticipated debut in the UK ahead of their album’s release, following the release of their debut UK single ‘Trojans’s through National Anthem (HAIM, CHVRCHES, Sir Sly) earlier in the year.
