Frank Turner Brands David Cameron A 'Twat'

Thursday, 18 April 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Folk-punk star Frank Turner has given his verdict on Tory PM David Cameron - and stated that he’s a ‘twat’ and ‘c*nt’!

The 31 year-old is the latest artist to talk politics, and it seems the music world is against the conservatives at the moment - check out Morrissey’s anti-Thatcher funeral rants here. Turner seems to be equally unhappy with the UK government at the moment - check his interview with NME below!

“David Cameron is a twat. He carries himself with the attitude that he's Prime Minister because he thinks he should be, which is a deeply unpleasant trait. I wouldn't vote for that c*nt. But I'm amused when people spout that 'Nick Clegg stabbed me in the back' stuff, because the Lib Dems have always been a deeply unprincipled mish-mash of unrealistic bullshit.”

He added:

“They're all politicians at the end of the day – so fuck 'em all.”

Turner also addressed claims from The Guardian that he was right-wing - he told the site:

“That article was a misrepresentation of my politics, which are 100 per cent based in punk rock; freedom, independence, self-reliance and voluntary co-operation between people. Broadly speaking, I'm a classical liberal. What riled people was that I'm an economic liberal as well.”
