Canadian superstar Justin Bieber saw a lot of negative press for his recent Anne Frank museum gaffe (which saw him writing that he hoped the iconic child would have been ‘Belieber’ in the guestbook), but he’s now been defended by someone very close to her - Anne Frank’s stepsister.
Bieber was called all sorts of names for the message, from being dubbed a ‘truly spectacular idiot’, to being described as a ‘little prick’ on Twitter - though the museum itself actually backed him up, claiming that he ‘didn't mean bad’.
Now, Anne Frank’s stepsister has stepped in to give Bieber support - and she also reckons that Frank would have ‘Beliebed’!
She told The Sun:
“She probably would have been a fan. Why not? He’s a young man and she was a young girl, and she liked film stars and music.”
What do you think of the news? Does that take Bieber out of the firing line, or do you still reckon it was a bit of a silly comment? Let us know your opinion in the comment box below.
