Tickets were snapped up within minutes two weeks ago for Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' now sold out show at The O2 Dublin on September 15th. Due to the unprecedented demand from Irish fans, a second show has just been added on Saturday September 14th. Tickets from €36 including booking fee go on-sale nationwide this Friday 17th May at 9am.
Fresh off their infectious and energetic performance at this year’s MTV Movie Awards (which had stars like Jamie Fox, Samuel L Jackson & Kerri Washington bouncing in their seats!) Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have announced a European tour including The O2 Dublin on September 14th and 15th. The group played to a packed house at the 800-capacity Dublin Academy only last year while on their 70-city, completely sold-out world tour supporting their critically acclaimed debut full length album 'The Heist'. They bypassed the usual gradual increase in venue size and moved straight onto The O2 Arena!
Seattle hip hop duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis skyrocketed to fame with the release of their smash hit 'Thrift Shop', an ode to second hand shopping. Their second single 'Can't Hold Us' is currently burning up the Irish radio airwaves.
Speaking to Rolling Stone Magazine Macklemore recently commented:
'We've been able to make music that resonates with people on a personal level, as well as having a work ethic – Ryan and I work 70-80 hours a week and we don't stop. That, and the fact that we have fans that believe in our dedication and the art we're making, that's the reason we're at where we're at.'
