The Dirty Rivers Announce Release Date Of New Single ’The Kid’

Wednesday, 15 May 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Liverpool rockers The Dirty Rivers have announced that their brand new single ‘The Kid’ will hit shelves on June 17th.

The band’s second single, it’s already received brilliant reviews and was played on BBC radio (namely by Janice Long show on BBC Radio 2) within hours of being uploaded to SoundCloud. You can check out the video - directed by Dom Foster - below.

Formed in Liverpool and Wirral in 2011, The Dirty Rivers shed the usual Beatles influence common to their city in favour of a darker, more adrenalin fuelled sound, reminiscent of bands such as The Stooges, The Rolling Stones, BRMC, and The Sex Pistols.

The band signed to Deltasonic Records in the summer of 2011 after just three explosive live shows, which captured an energy not witnessed since the days of early Coral. Developing their powerful sound and brilliant live performance they have built a loyal following and a great live reputation - and now, their studio reputation is about to skyrocket too.
