Kanye West Unveils New Album Title And Release Date

Monday, 20 May 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

American hip-hop star Kanye West has revealed that his forthcoming studio album will be called ‘Yeezus’.

The new record is his sixth studio album, and follows 2010’s ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’. ‘Yeezus’ is set to hit shelves on June 18th - the same date as his cryptic tweet mentioned earlier this month. You can read about that tweet, and his recent premiere performance of a new track, here.

Meanwhile, Kanye recently unveiled two tracks from the album during a performance on American TV show Saturday Night Live - ‘New Slaves’, which he unveiled last week by projecting it’s videos on buildings in major cities across the world, and ‘Black Skinhead’, which was previously unheard. You can check these out below.

The record is said to feature a number of collaborations, alongside artists such as Daft Punk, Skrillex, Odd Future, Chief Keef, and John Legend - but we’ll have to wait and see whether these rumours are true. For now, check out the newly unveiled tracks below!
