Stubhub Becomes The Official Ticket Reseller For London’s O2 Arena

Monday, 03 June 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

eBay subsidiary StubHub has become the official ticket re-seller for The O2 Arena, the company has announced.

StubHub recently became the new home of eBay’s ticket selling in the UK, and now, they’ve formed a new partnership with The O2 which will see them become the venue’s official ticket resale company. The O2 currently uses AXS as it’s primary ticketing platform, but it will now become integrated with StubHub - and it’ll ensure that resold tickets are cancelled and replaced with one bearing the new buyer’s name and barcode.

The O2 Arena’s general manager Rebecca Kane has commented on the deal, and said via MusicWeek:

“The O2 is the most popular venue in the world and tickets for our events often sell out extremely quickly. To ensure that as many people as possible can come to events here we wanted to partner with a trusted and secure ticket resale provider.”

She continued:

“By partnering with StubHub we are working with a resale marketplace that has a proven pedigree in serving fans and providing an innovative service for our customers.  Integrating our own ticketing platform means that fans can buy in confidence and enjoy the best in live entertainment at The O2.”
