Labrinth Takes Down 50 Fans With Ill-Judged Stage Dive

Thursday, 06 June 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Pop and dance singer-songwriter Labrinth has followed in the footsteps (or flight pattern, should we say!) of American star Miguel - by taking out a number of audience members with an ill-judged jump into the crowd!

The Syco-signee lived up to his track ‘Earthquake’ at a recent gig for the University of Kent's Summer Ball on June 1st (and may have even caused a few fans to ‘Pass Out’!), after deciding to be a rockstar and stage dive - only for the crowd to fail to catch him.

Literally diving face first into the audience of probably-very-drunk students, he managed to hit the deck - and take about 50 crowd-members with him. We don’t know whether it was the alcohol, but those fans went down like sacks of shit potatoes!

The incident was luckily caught on tape, and you can check out the footage in the YouTube embed below. It follows Miguel’s recent red-face accident at the Billboard Music Awards earlier this year, where he tried to jump over the crowd and onto a runway - but instead kicking a couple of fans in the head.

It’s since emerged that Miguel practised the jump twice, and still managed to cock it up, something which may have potentially given one of the victims brain damage - which, in turn, could end up with Miguel becoming embroiled in a court case.

You can check out footage of Labrinth’s stage-dive below. He’ll be performing at the Capital FM Summertime Ball next weekend - follow the link to find tickets
