Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor has spoken up on the recent departures of Adrian Belew and Eric Avery from the latest incarnation of the band.
Reznor will release 'Hesitation Marks' later in 2013 after a lengthy hiatus - during which he dabbled in film soundtracks and released music with How To Destroy Angels - with Belew and Avery both having joined and left Nine Inch Nails in recent months.
Avery bowed out due to the group's gruelling road schedule, while Belew intends to focus his energies on FLUX after admitting that his stint in Nine Inch Nails "didn't work".
Reznor told KROQ:
"You can spend a lot of time hypothesising, imagining and projecting what it's gonna be with this chemistry and this recipe of people in a room playing music, and in reality it rarely is that."
