Nine Inch Nails Return With New Single As Alive As You Need Me To Be From Tron: Ares Soundtrack

Nine Inch Nails have returned with their first new music in five years.
Serving up a menacing fusion of industrial rock and electro, As Alive As You Need Me To Be marks the first single from their upcoming soundtrack to the third instalment of the TRON sci-fi film franchise, Tron: Ares, due out on September 19 via Interscope Records. The track also features in the first trailer for the film, streaming below.
'TRON: Ares (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)' marks the first film score credited to Nine Inch Nails, though members Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have composed 20 film scores between them under their own names, earning two Academy Awards, three Golden Globes, a Grammy, and an Emmy.
The film stars Jared Leto, Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, Jodie Turner-Smith, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan, Gillian Anderson and Jeff Bridges, with a release date slated for October 10.
Nine Inch Nails will embark on the North American leg of their Peel It Back Tour next month, beginning on August 6 at Oakland Arena in California and wrapping up on September 18 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.
Earlier this year, they announced the creation of Future Ruins Festival, a first-of-its-kind music festival where the world’s most influential film and television composers step out from behind the screen and onto the stage. It will take place across three stages at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center on November 8, with a line-up featuring Cristobal Tapia de Veer, Ben salisbury and Geoff Barrow, Danny Elfman, John Carpenter, Questlove, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, and many more.
Nine Inch Nails' latest album releases are 2020's 'Ghosts V: Together' and 'Ghosts VI: Locusts'.
