Yungblud has shared the first trailer for his upcoming documentary film, YUNGBLUD. ARE YOU READY, BOY?.
Helmed by BAFTA-winning, Grammy-nominated director Paul Dugdale, the film follows the Doncaster-born artist, real name Dominic Harrison, as he travels to the iconic Hansa Studios in West Berlin to record a live session. Announcing the project last week, Yungblud said:
"I wanted to make a film that truly documents where we are right now, at this moment, around the release of my most ambitious album to date. Berlin has always radiated complete, unfiltered truth. Every time I’ve visited Hansa Studios, it’s just f*cking iconic."
The film is set to be screened globally in 30 countries, including at 150 cinemas across the UK, on August 20 and 24. The trailer's arrival coincides with the release of tickets for the film’s UK screenings. For further details, head to Yungblud.film.
The documentary announcement follows Yungblud’s appearance at Ozzy Osbourne’s Back to the Beginning farewell concert with Black Sabbath at Birmingham’s Villa Park earlier this month. During the show, the 27-year-old performed a cover of the Sabbath classic Changes as part of a supergroup that included Nuno Bettencourt, Frank Bello, II, and Adam Wakeman. The song will be released tomorrow (July 18), with proceeds going to Cure Parkinson's, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn’s Children’s Hospice.
Fresh from a series of intimate UK shows performing stripped-down versions of songs from his recent album, 'Idols', the singer will continue to support the record with the UK and Ireland leg of his Idols World Tour next spring.
The North American leg of the tour will begin next month, followed by European dates in the autumn. Tickets are on sale now.
