Yungblud has announced the second instalment of his 2025 album ’Idols’.
The British artist, who won Best Rock Performance at the recent Grammy Awards, will release ’Idols II’ digitally this Friday (February 20), with physical copies available for pre-order the same day, ahead of a full release later this year.
Recorded during the same sessions as part one, the ’Idols II’ repack adds six previously unheard tracks, including the lead single Suburban Requiem, and features the 28-year-old’s recent collaboration with The Smashing Pumpkins on a fresh version of Zombie. Yungblud said:
“This is it. The second chapter of the Idols story. Part 1 was a journey that helped me reclaim my identity from the darkest position I’ve ever been in my life. Part 2 is about realising that I am alive, that I am real, that this journey that I’ve been on didn’t kill me.
"It’s about realising that you can feel invincible when you actually feel yourself. It’s about comprehending that my heart is beating and that my lungs are filling up with air.”
Yungblud will resume his Idols World Tour with arena shows across the UK and Ireland in April, followed by a spring North American leg, and a headline appearance at Tons Of Rock festival in Norway in June. Tickets are on sale now.
Last December, he released ’One More Time’, a collaborative EP with Aerosmith, featuring the single My Only Angel. Earlier in the year, Yungblud’s documentary YUNGBLUD. ARE YOU READY, BOY?, directed by Paul Dugdale, premiered in cinemas worldwide for a limited time.
