Smoke Fairies Announce October UK Tour

London duo Smoke Fairies will release a double CD of early works entitled 'Ghosts' on September 23. To celebrate its release and following a sold out homecoming show earlier this week, they will also take the songs from 'Ghosts' on tour this October. 

'Ghosts' features their limited, sold out 7" singles on disc one - the ‘Frozen Heart' EP, their debut single Living With Ghosts as well as the Sunshine single. CD2 is a complete bonus disc of early studio sessions from 2007–08. These tracks were only ever sold at gigs or have never been released at all. Included is Good Man along with other early classics, all recorded before their acclaimed 2011 debut album, 'Through Low Light and Trees'. 

The October tour will feature instrumental backing provided by pioneers of ‘Cello rock’ Rasputina, all played out in carefully selected venues. Rasputina, friends of Smoke Fairies since 2011 when they invited the duo to support them on their US tour, have a long history of collaboration. Since forming in the mid-90s, over their six-album career Rasputina have rubbed shoulders and opened for the likes of Marilyn Manson and Robyn Hitchcock. Rasputina’s Melora Creager toured with Nirvana on their final tour.
