Jessie J Pulls Out Of Two Gigs Due To Voice Problems

Pop singer-songwriter Jessie J has been forced to pull out of two gigs this week, as she is suffering from vocal complications.

The star was scheduled to support American megastar Justin Timberlake at Phoenix Park in Dublin yesterday, but after her voice - which she’s claimed is akin to Marge Simpson’s - gave way, she had to cancel. She’s also decided to call off a gig that was set to take place in Paris tonight.

Jessie had been complaining about her voice earlier in the week, tweeting:

After her condition apparently worsened, she announced via Twitter that she wouldn’t be attending the gigs, apologising to her fans - or heartbeats - and promising that she’ll back ‘very soon’. She wrote:

The singer also spoke about her voice on Today FM this week - telling host Ray D’Arcy:

“I lose my voice too, guys. You have to rest your voice, it's so hard. I know every trick of the trade (to treat a bad throat) - I know exactly why my voice is like this, I know exactly what I need to do to get it back. I'm just human.”
