The Cribs Frontman Ryan Jarman Appeals For Fans To Help Find Stolen Guitar

Wednesday, 24 July 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Ryan Jarman - frontman of the Cribs and Exclamation Pony - is appealing for help to find a guitar that was stolen from him by a former roommate.

The 32-year-old’s ‘sunburst Gibson 335’ was taken in New York and according to the band it’s already been sold on - meaning they have now had to hit Facebook to launch an appeal asking fans for help getting it back.

Writing via their official page, the band said:

“Ryan's sunburst Gibson 335, a guitar he has toured with extensively for the last few years, has been stolen in New York by his former roommate. It was stolen in the Williamsburg, Brooklyn area and has already been sold, however it's whereabouts are unknown.

“Please, please could you keep an eye out for it, it could be in any pawn shop/music store in the area and may be in a very distinctive Gibson hardcase with 'The Cribs' sprayed on it in red. The serial number is: 81051048. It has a black pickguard that had some stickers on it… however these may have been removed. Any person giving ANY information leading to it's return would receive our eternal gratitude and some other kind of reward as the guitar has a lot of sentimental value and we are gutted that it has been stolen. Please help!”

As the post says, Jarman uses the guitar on stage ‘extensively’, meaning it’s of utmost importance that he gets it back - so if you have any info, do get in touch!
