Canada's Arcade Fire have announced plans for some live shows in 2014.
Win Butler and Régine Chassagne's band have been working with LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy on their currently-untitled fourth album (which Murphy has described as ‘fucking epic’) and, ahead of its October release, they’ve lined-up some gigs for next year.
Arcade Fire will hit Australia and New Zealand for the Big Day Out tour - where they'll perform alongside the likes of Pearl Jam, Blur, Snoop Dogg, locals Tame Impala, Steve Angello, Mac Miller and more.
The Big Day Out is one of Australia and New Zealand’s biggest events of the year, with dates taking place in Adelaide, Sydney (twice), Melbourne, Perth, Auckland and Gold Coast. A third main stage has been added to accommodate headliners Arcade Fire in 2014.
As yet, Arcade Fire have not announced any UK or European live dates. Following this small pulse of activity, could a UK tour announcement be on the way?
