The Green Room is the latest single by Club Smith, a Leeds three-piece routinely reinventing themselves after the release of debut album 'Appetite for Chivalry'.
Delivered by Dave Bascombe (Depeche Mode) and Lance Thomas (Ladytron) this single mix sees the band employing a more electronic approach to reflect the darker themes of human challenges running through The Green Room; the title itself a metaphor for the prolonged feelings of uncertainty that surround a loss.
The second collaboration with Bascombe/Thomas, The Green Room follows on from previous singles Beautiful & Useless, Lament and No Friend Of Mine which between them gained plays from Huw Stephens, Rory McConnell (Radio One), Steve Lamacq, Tom Robinson, Chris Hawkins (6Music), John Kennedy (XFM), and from Chris Martin, Shell Zenner and Simon Raymonde at Amazing Radio.
