Sick Chirpse Publicly Out Boomtown Competition Scammer

When entertainment website Sick Chirpse set up a competition to win a pair of tickets to Boomtown Fair, which kicked off yesterday, they didn't expect someone to try and scam their winner out of their tickets.

The site clocked on to his shameless scam and publicly outed him on their site, posting his name, date of birth, pictures and even his Facebook page for all to see.

Shahab Boloruchi got a nasty surprise last night when Sick Chirpse posted a lengthy, multi-page article documenting how he tried to scam the competition’s real winner - Vincent Bolton - out of his tickets. 

Sick Chirpse announced their winner over Facebook, and Boloruchi instantly created a fake email address featuring the name of the real winner. After noticing that something fishy was going on, Sick Chirpse’s suspicions were confirmed. Rather than call the scammer out at this point, the website decided to play along for a little longer, while also having him banned from buying Boomtown Fair tickets forever.

After a few email exchanges, Sick Chirpse managed to get Shahab's details, including his date of birth, pictures, his Facebook profile and even his passport to publicly out him as a scammer. If you want to check out the article in all its glory, e-mails included, check this link.
