Dissension Unveil New Track 'Graceless Death'

Monday, 02 September 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Canadian metal outfit Dissension have unveiled brand new track ‘Graceless Death’.

The Montreal Quebec band are waiting on the release of their debut album ‘Of Time and Chronic Disease’, and have dropped a brand new track to keep their fans’ thirst quenched in its wake. You can check it out using the SoundCloud player below.

The five-piece’s album hits shelves on September 10, with the band performing at a launch party at the Foufounes Electriques three days later - if you happen to be in the area, you can catch them playing the track live.

Nathan Afilalo - the band’s vocalist and rhythm guitar player - has said ahead of their new album:

“Having been a band for about six years, we have long anticipated the great day where we could let our music take flight upon the winds of the world. With that in mind, ‘Of Time and Chronic Disease’ is a summation of our music since it contains some of our very earliest songs to some of our latest.

“The album has to be taken as a whole, as the individual songs all represent a different facet of the whole that is our music. It's like a hydra, the beast can only truly be slain if you remove all of its heads and immerse yourself in the dark pools of its blood.”

You can check out the record’s tracklist underneath the SoundCloud player (it features in this podcast which also sees an interview with Nathan Afilalo) - let us know what you think using the comment box!
