Reflektor, the brand new single from Arcade Fire, has leaked online ahead of its official unveiling tonight at 9pm (GMT). The single features vocals from none other than man-of-the-moment, rock legend David Bowie.
The track is set to be officially unveiled at 9pm tonight as part of their massive 9/9/9 Reflektor campaign, which has seen the band teasing fans for a month prior to its release. However, it appears the track has prematurely surfaced online.
The campaign included images, posters and graffiti tags in major cities across the world, cryptic Instagram posts, the not-so-cryptic 9/9/9 tag, as well as a 15-second preview. Check out the full track below.
Reflektor is the lead single from their hugely-anticipated new album of the same name, which is due out on October 29. The band are as excited as fans for the record to reach the airwaves and LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy is too. He told NME:
“It sounds like Arcade Fire in the way that only Arcade Fire sound like Arcade Fire, you know? It's really fucking epic. Seriously. I mean, I feel at this point like I'm too close to it to really talk it up and do it justice, you know?”
Meanwhile, the band have announced that their new album will be released on a limited physical release at independent music stores across the UK. You can find out more on that news here.
