Drum and bass duo Mind Vortex have announced a brand new single.
The pair have been hard at work in the studio as of late, and saw their last single - the epic Alive/Arc - kick up quite a fuss in the scene, reminding us exactly how they earned a deal with the mighty Ram Records a couple of years back.
Now, they’ve been doing rounds in the scene once again, thanks to their latest slice of super-charged drum and bass Gravity/Catapult - another two typically brilliant tracks from Laurie Carroll and Stefan Anfield that easily could have been singles in their own right.
Out on Monday (September 16), they’ve delivered a powerhouse track that would please lovers of both sides of the heavy dnb spectrum - if you’re a fan of massive drops, but perhaps not the (dare we say it) more mainstream styles, it’s the ultimate dancefloor roller and will be getting rewound before you even have the time to shout ‘pull up!’’
Its B-side, Catapult, is enough to tear the roof off any venue it’s dared to be unleashed in. Kicking with an anthemic synth-drive build-up (and carefully placed vocal sample), it drops into a tearing motorcycle bass monster and is no doubt already featuring in label boss Andy C’s record bag.
