Rolf Harris Appears In Court Following Indecent Assault Charges

Rolf Harris has appeared in court, having been charged with 13 sex offences as part of Operation Yewtree.
The 83-year-old appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court, during which he confirmed his name, address and date of birth before being bailed until October 7. Harris faces nine counts of indecent assault and four of making indecent images of children.
Alison Saunders, of the Crown Prosecution Service, commented last month:
“Having completed our review, we have concluded that there is sufficient evidence and it is in the public interest for Mr Harris to be charged with nine counts of indecent assault and four of making indecent images of a child.”
