Martine McCutcheon to Return to Music

Monday, 23 September 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Martine McCutcheon is set to return to a career in music after a number of years out of the spotlight.

The former Eastenders actress has been out of the music business for over 10 years, but it seems a comeback could be on the horizon. She is apparently set to performing a ‘big concert’ later this year.

Speaking to The Sun, she said:

“There have been a hell of a lot of things to write about. A big comeback concert is being organised this year. [Husband] Jack [McManus] says it is about time I got back out there and showed everyone what I was meant to do. He has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, such as the Wanted, Groove Armada and John Mayer so I knew I should listen to him.

"I want to get up there and sing again, which is the first thing I ever did. I started off as a singer. The acting was a brilliant accident, but the music is what I have always done. I feel like I am starting a whole new novel of my life. I just feel in my gut this is a going to be a good time for me.”

McCutcheon is best known for her platinum-selling, #1 single Perfect Moment, while she also found success with a string of Top 10 tracks from 1999-2002. With a comeback on the cards, we could be treated to a fourth studio album, and hopefully even a tour - keep your eyes peeled on Stereoboard for more updates!
