Brandon Flowers Planning New Solo Album

Wednesday, 09 October 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Brandon Flowers, frontman of US rockers the Killers, has announced plans to work on a second solo album.

Flowers has spent the past few years writing, recording, releasing and touring the Killers’ last effort ‘Battle Born’, which became their fourth consecutive UK #1 when it hit shelves last year.

But now, having eased out of the manic life on the road, Flowers has opened up about what he is planning next, with another collection of solo material on the agenda.

Speaking to NME, he said:

“I'm excited about going home. I'm looking forward to having a normal year. But I'm going to write. I'm going to be filing those diamonds, it's my job. I'm just going to put my heart and soul into my solo record.”

The 32-year-old released his debut solo effort ‘Flamingo’ back in 2010, hitting Top 10 charts across the globe and once again finding the top spot here in the UK. However, before he puts out his next record, he and his band will be putting out their greatest hits collection ‘Direct Hits’, which hits shelves on November 11.

The compilation features two brand new tunes, Shot At The Night and Just Another Girl.
