Doves Jimi Goodwin To Support Elbow On UK Tour

Doves' Jimi Goodwin has been confirmed as support for Elbow on their upcoming UK tour.

Guy Garvey and co head will out on another nationwide venture in April next year, following the release of their sixth studio album in March - as well as a new live album, ‘Live at Jodrell Bank’. Not too much is known about the record so far, however, on the live side of things, Elbow have revealed that Doves star Jimi Goodwin will be supporting them on the tour.

The news was broken via their website last night - check what Elbow had to say:

“Elbow are very pleased to announce their good friend and Manchester music legend Jimi Goodwin as special guest on their April 2014 UK Arena tour. Jimi and elbow go back many years. Doves took elbow out on the road for their very first UK tour, and also invited them along on a US trip early in their career.”

Since Doves entered hiatus back in 2010, Goodwin has been working on a handful of projects, which include solo material and collaborations with Elbow’s Guy Garvey. Could the two join forces on stage when the tour rolls round in spring next year?
