Legendary US entertainer Dolly Parton has expanded the UK leg of her 2014 Blue Smoke Tour, confirming additional shows in Glasgow, Cardiff and London.
Dolly is gearing up for the release of her latest studio album 'Blue Smoke', set to land in 2014. The new tour will travel across the pond in 2014 for June and July concerts in the UK and Europe.
Speaking about the new shows, Dolly said:
"Every time I come to Europe I’m just as excited as I was my very first time, which was many, many years ago. I love that part of the world and I especially love the fans.”
“We always have such a good time and I’ve put together a lot of things for this show that I think the fans will love. We had not planned to come back so soon, but we got so much fan mail and such a great reaction that I thought ‘Well, why not. If they’re having a good time and we always do, let’s just do it’.”
Due to huge demand for tickets, the singer songwriter has confirmed additional shows in Glasgow, Cardiff and London. The newly announced Glasgow show goes ahead on June 18, the second Cardiff date is confirmed for June 25 and another London show is lined up for June 28.
