Dolly Parton has postponed her upcoming Las Vegas residency.
The six-concert Dolly: Live in Las Vegas run was scheduled to take place between December 4 and 13, coinciding with the National Finals Rodeo, but the country music icon has revealed in a statement that she is "dealing with some health challenges" and "must have a few procedures".
Parton also explains that her recovery time won't allow her to rehearse for the shows that were scheduled at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. She wrote:
"I want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts. As many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures. As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!
"In all seriousness, given this, I am not going to be able to rehearse and put together the show that I want you to see, and the show that you deserve to see. You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you. While I’ll still be able to work on all of my projects from here in Nashville, I just need a little time to get show ready, as they say. And don’t worry about me quitting’ the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet. But, I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you. I love you and thank you for understanding."
The residency has been rescheduled for September 17, 19, 20, 23, 25 and 26, 2026. Original tickets remain valid for the new dates, and refunds will be available from point of purchase.
Parton's first extended Las Vegas run in over 30 years will feature performances of classic hits and fan favourites, including 9 To 5, Jolene, I Will Always Love You, Coat of Many Colors and more.
Earlier this year, she released If You Hadn't Been There, a tribute to her late husband Carl Dean, who passed away in March. She also teamed up with Sabrina Carpenter for a rework of Please Please Please, one of five bonus tracks on the deluxe edition of Carpenter's 2024 album 'Short n' Sweet', and joined Mötley Crüe for a new version of Home Sweet Home.
Her most recent studio album and 49th overall, 'Rockstar', dropped in 2023, followed by 'Smoky Mountain DNA: Family, Faith and Fables' in 2024, and 'The Dollywood Collection: Celebrating 40 Years of Music & Memories' in May.
