ABBA To Reunite For Waterloo Anniversary?

Monday, 11 November 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Swedish pop legends ABBA could be set to reunite next year, according to Agnetha Faltskog.

The quartet, completed by Anni-Frid Lyngstad, Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson, split in 1982, but may reform in order to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their first hit, Waterloo.

Comeback rumours, and lucrative financial offers, have been regularly dismissed by the band in the past, but Faltskog recently told German newspaper Welt Am Sonntag that tentative plans are circulating to mark the anniversary in some way. She said:

“Of course it's something we're thinking about. There seem to be plans to do something to mark this anniversary in some way. I can't say at this point what will come of them.”
