Cher Lloyd's New Album Set For Release Early In 2014

Tuesday, 12 November 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Cher Lloyd has revealed the disappointment surrounding the delayed release of her new album.

Titled ‘Sorry I’m Late’, Lloyd’s second record - the follow-up to her 2011 debut ‘Sticks + Stones’ - was originally set for release this month, but is now set to be released in the New Year instead.

Speaking in an interview with Larry King (which you can view here), the former X Factor contestant revealed her disappointment with the delay:

“I think as an artist you try and protect the people within the company you're with. Unfortunately, I'm not like that. My album got pushed back and I'm not happy about it. It's all done, but I am currently in the studio for the rest of this week to try and find some more magic.

"It was meant to be coming out in November. Now I think it's going to be early next year. I've still got to find that magic. I was hoping to get something to my fans sooner. I feel like it's been way too long, but I know you can't rush something that's meant to be right. I think the magic is already there.”

Lloyd released her latest single I Wish in August, which features American rapper T.I  - check it out below!
