Julianna Barwick has unveiled the music video for her track The Harbinger.
Barwick released ‘Nepenthe’ back in August and has now put together an elegant, experimental music video to accompany The Harbinger.
The clip finds Barwick laying motionless in a pool, white dress floating around her. It was directed by Derrick Belcham, a filmmaker who has worked with Barwick in the past. He said:
“The video illustrates a moment in which an individual makes a sudden choice which they know will change their life forever, for better or worse, and the freedom that this affords them, liberating or oppressive. It is a non-linear illustration of catharsis.”
