Julian Casablancas And The Voidz To Release 'Tyranny' In September

Tuesday, 24 June 2014 Written by Huw Baines

Julian Casablancas will release ‘Tyranny’, his first album with the Voidz, on September 23.

The Strokes frontman will put the record out through his Cult label, having introduced the band back in March. In a press release, he said:

"Tyranny has come in many forms throughout history. Now, the good of business is put above anything else, as corporations have become the new ruling body. Most decisions seem to be made like ones of a medieval king: whatever makes profit while ignoring and repressing the truth about whatever suffering it may cause (like pop music, for that matter)."

Casablancas has also announced a run of US shows with the Voidz, while you can check out a teaser for ‘Tyranny’ below.
