Julian Casablancas is an American singer-songwriter and musician hailing from New York City, New York. Born in 1978, he is best recognised as the frontman of garage rock icons The Strokes, though he has also embarked on a solo career too.

Having sold over five million records worldwide with The Strokes, Casablancas would turn to making a solo album when the band entered hiatus in the mid ‘00s, and delivered ‘Phrazes for the Young’ in 2009. His latest LP, a venture with The Voidz called ‘Tyranny’, hit shelves in September 2014.
