London Grammar, Arctic Monkeys Among AIM Independent Music Awards Winners

London Grammar, Arctic Monkeys, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Twin Atlantic, Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip and Domino Records were among the winners at last night’s AIM Independent Music Awards.
London Grammar scooped two prizes - for Independent Breakthrough Of The Year and the PPL Award For Most Played New Independent Act - while Arctic Monkeys’ ‘AM’ was recognised as Independent Album Of The Year. Domino was named Independent Label Of The Year.
Ellis-Bextor took the live award, Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip the best video prize for You Will See Me and Twin Atlantic the gong for best independent song. Ghetts, meanwhile, was named Hardest Working Band or Artist and Ben Watt’s ‘Hendra’ Best 'Difficult' Second Album.
