Demis Roussos Dies Aged 68

Singer Demis Roussos, who rose to fame as a solo performer in the '70s, has died aged 68.

Prior to that, the Greek vocalist was known for his work with Aphrodite's Child and Vangelis. The Hygeia Hospital in Athens, where Roussos had been receiving treatment, confirmed to the BBC that he had died. 

Roussos was born in Alexandria, Egypt, in 1946 and hit #1 in the UK with Forever and Ever, part of the 'Roussos Phenomenon' EP, in 1976.
