New Modest Mouse Record To Feature Nirvana's Krist Novoselic

A new Modest Mouse album could arrive as early as next year and will feature contributions from Nirvana’s Krist Novoselic, according to a new interview with Isaac Brock.

The frontman discussed the follow up to ‘Strangers To Ourselves’, which emerged last week following an eight year wait, with Craig Fitzpatrick of Hot Press. On Novoselic, he said:

"We ended up finishing tracking with one of his songs that will end up on the next record. It fits the second piece, the companion piece to this record, a bit better. We basically made two records at the same time. Which, if people look at it that way, cuts down the amount of time it took us to make this record in half, man!”

Modest Mouse will play shows in Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle and Dublin in July, with sets at T In The Park and Calling Festival also inked in.
