Modest Mouse are an American indie-rock band hailing from Issaquah, Washington. Modest Mouse was formed back in 1993 by frontman Isaac Brock and drummer Jeremiah Green, who remain the only constant members of the band, alongside multi-instrumentalist Tom Peloso
Modest Mouse have come a long way since their debut album, ‘This Is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Think About’, came out in 1996, and they’ve progressively seen more commercial success with each release.
They first charted in the US with 2000’s ‘The Moon & Antarctica’, broke into the Top 20 with ‘Good News for People Who Love Bad News’ in 2004, and hit #1 in 2007 with ‘We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank’. Of course, over the years they've built up the ability to put on an epic live show too, and have toured across all four corners.
Though Modest Mouse would endure a period of hiatus following their last record, they would continue to perform and play festivals in the ensuing years, though fans were of course hoping for a new LP. 'Strangers to Ourselves' would go on to hit shelves in March 2015, reaching #3 in the US charts.
Summer 2016 saw Modest Mouse heading out on a North American tour alongside Brand New, and in summer and fall 2017, they were back on the road for a US tour.
