Father John Misty—real name Josh Tillman—is an indie rock and folk singer-songwriter from Rockville, Maryland.
Starting his music career in 2003, he put out a handful of albums under the name J.Tillman before joining Fleet Foxes in 2008. He left the band in 2012, releasing his ‘Fear Fun’—his debut album under the new moniker—that same year. His discography now boasts a total of five full-length records, with a sixth due to land in November 2024 in the shape of 'Mahashmashana'. He has received a number of awards an accolades throughout his career, including a Grammy for 2018's 'Pure Comedy'. He has also written music for the likes of Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Kid Cudi and Post Malone. Father John Misty tours the UK and Europe in April 2025.
